Oil Painting Restoration & Conservation
Before
This 18th century painting arrived in the shop with significant paint loss. Dirt and discolored varnish on the surface of the painting needed to be cleaned off the painting before the paint loss could be addressed.
After
After cleaning off the old varnish and dirt, archival paints made specifically for restoration were used to fill in areas of paint loss. Many beautiful details and vibrant colors were revealed in the process of this restoration.
Frame Restoration & Replication
Restoring frames involves recreating missing pieces, stabilizing areas of damage, and gilding the repairs to match the existing parts.
Petrov Frame Atelier also specializes in replicating frames. Whether you need a frame to match a set in the boardroom, or you want a period-accurate frame to match a piece of fine art, we will work with you to replicate the perfect frame.

There are only a few artisans offering our unique custom services in the United States, and we are proud to be the only one of its kind in Indianapolis.
Our shop hours are Monday–Friday 10am–6pm, Saturday 10am–3pm.
