Found in Central and South America, Bocote (Cordia spp.) is a dark, heavy and dramatic wood – striking in appearance – with yellow-dark brown zebra-like contrasts and bold figuring. The color of this beautiiful wood tends to darken with age, and has a "waxy" appearance because of the natural oil luster present. Bocote is priced mid-to-high for our exotic hardwoods, and is moderately durable.
